- San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is the primary hub for air Bay Area air traffic; if you've already booked your flights there's a good chance you'll be flying there. However, Oakland International Airport (OAK), which is a smaller port on the eastern side of the bay, is definitely worth considering. It generally has better traffic (driving through San Francisco to/from SFO can be a royal pain), is less crowded and easier to navigate, and flights are often a little cheaper. Depending on where you're coming from, it may be worth your while to consider flying into Oakland - check it out!
- For those unable to rent a car or hitch a ride with a Californian friend or relative, the Sonoma County Airport Express provides daily shuttle service at regular intervals from both SFO and OAK to key points in Sonoma County. One-way fares are $34 for Adults, $32 for Seniors and Students, and Children under 12 ride for free.
- Cars may be rented through the usual suspects (Hertz, Avis, Budget, etc) at both SFO and OAK.
Airport Info
Since so many of our guests will be from out-of-town (out-of-state, even), and Sebastopol is such a small, relatively unknown place, we think it'd be pretty useful to cover some basic points on traveling to and from Sonoma County.
